Los Lobos Disconnected

Los Lobos are celebrating their 40th anniversary as a band with the release of the new live track album "Disconnected In New York City" on October 29th. Recorded live last December at the City Winery in New York City, the original members, David Hidalgo, Cesar Rosas, Louie Perez, Steve Berlin and Conrad Lozano (with the additional help of Enrique "Bugs" Gonzalez and Camilo Quinones) revisit four decades of live music. "DISCONNECTED IN NEW YORK CITY" will be available in three formats — a standard CD, a deluxe 2CD/DVD package and on vinyl. The band will be touring throughout 2013 and 2014.

We know many of you have touching, funny, interesting, and unusual stories and memories connected with Los Lobos over their forty years and we want you to share them with us! All you need to do is submit a piece of writing sharing your memory and we will choose the winner during the week of album release! We will base our criteria on the uniqueness of the writing as well as how the story moves us. Email your stories to webmaster@loslobos.org. and please also post for other fans to enjoy on the Los Lobos Facebook page. Please note stories may be shared publicly. Winner will be chosen the first week of November.

Lobos may be "Disconnected in New York City" but how connected are you to Lobos and their music?! We will help you find out through posting a creative photo on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with your favorite Los Lobos album, gear, photos etc. We really want to be able to show off what Lobos means to YOU! Use the hashtag #LosLobos40 so we can collect all your photos! If you prefer, you may also submit your photo by emailing it to webmaster@loslobos.org. Winners will be chosen on release day (Oct 29th).

Every Tuesday and Thursday until release day we will posting a trivia question on Los Lobos' Facebook page! We will choose a random winner each day to receive one of the signed deluxe CD/DVD prize. To enter, simply post an answer (as a comment) and share the post to invite your friends to participate! Winners will be selected each Wednesday & Friday.
